Dear Residents Our next 3 months beat priorites are as follows, Road Safety Around Primary Schools You Said: You have raised concerns relating to road safety, specifically surrounding our local primary schools. This includes driving at excess speed for the location, inappropriate road use and dangerous parking. We Will: We will complete active patrols at each primary school within the beat area. We will provide education to drivers where appropriate and progress to enforcement action when necessary. We will continue to work closely with schools and local enforcement officers to ensure our school communities remain safe for pupils, parents, staff and road users. Retail Crime - Belvoir Shopping Centre and Whitwick Retail Park You Said: We are aware that local businesses are being subjected to theft, including repeat offenders targeting certain stores. Due to the approach of the festive season, this priority will remain in place throughout the next priority period. We Will: We will carry out targeted operations in these areas, working alongside colleagues in CCTV, Safer Streets and partner agencies to identify and target those responsible for retail crime. We will seek convictions, Criminal Behaviour Orders and other long-term measures to enable robust action against offenders and protect local businesses. Licensing and Associated Criminality You Said: We are aware of concerns surrounding licensed premises within the area. These concerns include underage sales, the sale of illegal products and associated criminality involving both public houses and retail premises. We Will: We will continue to work alongside Licensing Officers and Trading Standards to conduct visits to premises where concerns have been identified. We will carry out intelligence-led operations, including test purchase exercises where appropriate, and provide advice and education to licence holders to promote compliance and responsible trading practices. Where offences are identified, we will take positive action alongside partner agencies to protect the community and reduce associated criminality. Together with our partners, we remain committed to tackling these issues and ensuring our communities remain safe places to live, work and visit. PCSO 6596 Rose NN44 Coalville Beat Team
